Apple Day was so much fun! We did so many activities that would make Johnny Appleseed proud! We did a tasting of 3 types of apples and graphed our favorites, played Apple Jack Math Bingo, talked about the life cycle of an apple tree, did a STEM activity, and made homemade applesauce--YUM!! We topped it all off by putting a pot on our head and pretended to be Johnny! We'll always be thankful for Johnny Appleseed and the trees he planted across Indiana!
These Johnny Appleseeds couldn't get any cuter....

John Chapman Apple Raft STEM Challenge
Each student was given 2 feet of foil, 8 marshmallows, and 8 toothpicks. Their challenge was to build a raft to help Johnny transport apples to his family, without sinking for 15 seconds.
